CHELSIE KETTON MSED, LCPC

Chelsie Ketton is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). In her tenure as a mental health therapist, she has supported and empowered various adult populations of men and women. Chelsie worked with adults experiencing severe and persistent mental health illnesses in her early career. As her career progressed, she became a forensic mental health provider, Licensed as a Sex Offender Treatment Provider (LSOTP).

 

Chelsie continues to practice forensic psychology, focusing on outpatient reentry. A holistic approach to treatment has enabled Chelsie to be an effective mental health provider by looking past each person's behaviors. Furthermore, Chelsie offers successful Teletherapy and drew inspiration from the pandemic to pursue this therapy modality. She finds Telehealth extremely rewarding, connecting with various populations and teaching coping skills and techniques through relatability and empowerment.

Over the years, Chelsie has passionately embraced educating, empowering, and destigmatizing mental health for people of color. As a skilled speaker, she has addressed a wide range of audiences regarding mental health basics, systemic racism, racial microaggressions, financial attachments, and maintaining a healthy balance throughout life.

Chelsie is the owner of Caidence, a platform emphasizing the importance of mental wellness in all aspects of life. As part of its mission, Caidence strives to normalize mental health and wellness in the black community.

 

Chelsie aspires to expand Caidence's reach through her interactions with members and leaders of the black community. Chelsie is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and has always committed to serving the community. Through her involvement with this organization, she hopes to expand her reach of mentorship, volunteering, and overall wellness.

When she is not educating others, her other roles include mother, friend, sister, daughter, and Soror. Keeping a healthy work-life balance enables Chelsie to spend time with her family and recharge personally. She continues to prioritize self-care, personal growth, and professional development.
